Mark Dunbar joined his father, Bruce, as a financial advisor in 2017 after working in the Aerospace industry. Now, he works closely with his father and sister, Caroline, to manage client portfolios and provide personalized financial planning. Mark’s background in technical fields enhances his ability to offer detailed and strategic advice, helping clients meet their financial goals.
Mark graduated from Denison University with a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in Economics and Computer Science and was a Richard G. Lugar Scholar in Politics and Public Service. He also earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Norwich University, where he also received a Graduate Certificate in Investment Management Professional. Mark holds Series 7, Series 66, Variable Annuities, Accident and Health, and Life insurance licenses. He is also an Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠.
After living in California, Georgia, Germany, and Ohio, Mark and his wife Stella moved back to Ann Arbor to raise their three children and two Golden Retrievers. When not in school, you can find the Dunbars at a pool, lake, trail or on a ski hill.
Outside of work, Mark values spending time with his family and pursuing his personal interests, particularly staying active through swimming, playing golf, gardening, making homemade breads and pizza, and woodworking. Swimming is a big part of the Dunbar family’s life, with all three children active in the sport. Mark, who shares this passion as a former collegiate swimmer, swims for Club Wolverine in their Masters Swimming group. He also contributes to the swimming community as a volunteer USA Swimming Official and sits on the board of Club Wolverine Swim Club.
